Looking to get back into cycling and found someone selling a grail frameset that I wouldn’t mind building out. My only reference is my rove st that I had a couple of years ago (that I no longer have).
Can the Reddit hivemind help me gauge if this would fit me ok? Canyon sizes me at a 2xs but think I’d be ok on an xs?

Reach is the most important measurement. Your inseam is common enough that you could ride xs to medium based on only inseam.
Shorter top tube will set you more up right. This will be more comfortable but less aero. Longer top tube will increase the reach and give a more aero fit. The best thing for most is finding a middle point. Giving you comfort and performance. Realistically, you can take a gamble on a bike or get a bike fit to know a tolerance of what would comfortably fit your reach.
While you know the Rove fit you, it’s often hard to transfer fitment across manufacturers. Especially with how dynamic gravel geometry has gotten. The difference in the xs canyon measurements compared to 48cm rove are pretty interesting. The rove seems a true xs frame while their “xs” seems closer to a conventional small. Personally, that’s my gripe with s,m,l compared to cm sized frames.
All this to say, if you have good knowledge of what fits well and measurements that can give you good frame of reference then you will likely be able to evaluate based on those factors. I would say the xs canyon could fit but you physically need to ride it to confirm. Changing a stem out can help a lot but it can only do so much if the frame is too small or too big. At the end of the day, it’s all speculation, the frames are similar enough and I can’t tell you how a bike will feel to you. Best of luck.
