The geometry of the bike may be too aggressive for a beginner, but it’s a good deal. There’s an ongoing recall on those cranks so make sure they don’t break

Yes it’s a good deal. Keep in mind you need bibs, jerseys, socks, shoes, helmet, pump, tools, chain lube, flat repair kit, sealant and winter clothes and accessories for the cooler weather coming up like warmers, gloves, gilet, overshoes and neck gaiter. That’s an aggressive aero bike that requires a certain level of flexibility and strength to hold that position. So for a first bike, sure go for it as long as you have somewhat of an understanding of what you’re buying and not blowing your whole budget on the bike. Most importantly it MUST FIT. Size guides often put people into bikes that are too big.

Need more details….
Are those wheels tubular?
If you’re willing to actually spend $1700 I’ll help you look for something.

Edit: NO, this is not a good first bike
Depends
Is this a used bike? Or a new one?
