Is this axle offset normal? I just built this bike today and when I got done putting the chain on I noticed that the axle was sticking out way further on one side than the other. Is this something I should give a shit about?

If the wheel hardware is tight and everything is aligned then it’s probably a manufacturing defect. I’ve been riding for over 44 years and have never seen that before. I have seen frames with bad welds and parts not machined correctly but that should not affect anything.That can be cut down with a grinder and get a die to rechase the threads if it bothers you too much.
