Recently bought a Chpt3, but noticed that the paint can easily get damaged around the clamps.
I live in a really humid area, so want to avoid rust or any issues

Google Brompton EZ Clamp Spring. Cheap and brilliant solution. Why Brompton don’t do it as standard is mind boggling.
Put some grease on the parts. I use waxoyl. Paints going to rub off o matter what.
It doesn’t matter what you do, the paint will inevitably wear through in this area. It won’t corrode enough to cause problems during the lifetime of the bike.
