I can`t imagine the pain and agony parents of a missing or mudered child go thru…
Therefore any offender finally caught should automatically get DP for molesting/killing a child. This problem is getting out of hand and offenders know, they will be released soon again to do more harm to inncoent kids. Judicial system in the UK and Europe in general is so very much screwed and pro offender. Victims are forgotten soon.
Plus all the hard work of cops and investigators is practically undermined by the sentences given lateron, so very frustrating.

Im Gen X and even my parents would not have let us go to the fair on our own. I just couldn't imagine ever letting such a young child go alone. I guess kids are much more aware of stranger danger these days

For those who are sayingwhy did the parents let their child go to the fair alone, this was in 1984 – at that time there weren't so many perverts around.
The policeman with Parkinson's deserves special KUDOS for his bravery in giving his statements in front of the camera. My father had Parkinson's and it's not fun.
