I have a bike with a 3×7 group set and a Shimano Tourney rear derailleur.
The bike wouldn’t shift into 1st/lowest/biggest gear in the back so I watched a few YouTube videos and tried checking the limit screws and eventually figured the derailleur hanger had a decent chance of being bent. (I know I fell on/with the bike a few years ago, and recently it’s fallen over a couple if times when trying to shift an attached child trailer, etc.
So it’s got a replacement Wheels Manufacturing hanger that’s supposed to be the correct one for this bike. (Confirmed with two LBS. One didn’t have stock, bought at the second one which did.)
I’ve replaced the hanger and spent a bunch of time trying to check the limit screws, the indexing, the b-screw and the cable tension all without success, and for a while made things way worse.
I’m close to back to my starting point but I’ve realized that now the jockey wheel axel is hitting the cassette.
The B screw literally does nothing and I don’t know if so broke something in the derailleur, if something else is bent or out of alignment, but aim wondering if it’s related to my last post where I asked about the replace hanger. This hanger is slightly shorter in the space between the place it attaches to the frame and where the derailleur attaches to it. The limit screw for that end also does nothing.
I’ve also now found posts on here from people talking about how useless the b-screw is on Tourney derailleurs.
Suggested next steps?
1) go back to the original hanger and see if that fixes the jockey to cassette touching problem?
2) get a new/maybe better derailleur? Maybe an Altus at least?
3) give up and bring the bike to an LBS and ask them to fix the alignment, indexing, etc?
4) any other idea/suggestions,

Still not enough cable tension. Tension it a bit more when clamping it in smallest cog gear, or use a barrel adjuster if you have one. Also yeah, could be a bent hanger.
I wouldn’t worry about the b-screw tension. Usually you just leave it and it sorts itself out by the time you set your, high/low/barrel adjuster.
Your lower limit is locking you out of that next gear.
My way of coping with this:
* release the shifting cable and open all limiting screws
* trying to “shift” / push by hand, checking if the derailleur can cover the whole range
* check if the shifting switch was set correctly at the first attempt
* ~~if there is a trouble, check the old hanger~~ nope, it has been bend, I wouldn’t do so
Is this also a new derailleur? The cage does not look correctly to me.
It may be that you have something like a 34t 1st fear and the tourney just can’t handle it with it’s lack of proper b-screw adjustment.
I’d pay a little more and get an altus, they are better in every way for not much money
