  1. Could it be your handlebar? Not sure, bikes do tick. I find if I try to investigate it I drive myself even crazier. They’re hard to find, and chances are you might not even be able to fix it once you find it

  2. Damn, clicks n ticks. Pull the wheels off and remount, check the reflectors aren’t catching, check the thru axel/ skewers, check there’s no loose cable flapping and hitting the frame, check the bike seat, check the chain isn’t too long and hitting the frame, check the disk pads.

I had something similar and after checking for hours, turned out to be a spoke had loosened itself somehow.

Bike noises are the most annoying sound, get you out of your groove and they can sound like they’re up front and are coming from behind.

I’d start by eliminating the pedals and then the rest of the drive train individually, based on you saying it was more prominent whilst pedaling. Actually I would pull the reflectors off first, and check for any super lose spokes. There’s a break in period with new bikes were everything stretches and settles, after that then I would start the pedals/ drive train.

Are those reflectors on your wheels? I don’t think I’ve ever seen those on a road bike…..Could be that.
