My bolt that goes into my spindle (that’s what I think it’s called) snapped today. I don’t know how it happened but I assume it was loose and jumping/pedalling snapped it, if you got any other insight on why it snapped that would be handy.
The main issue is do I need a new spindle now? Would I have to drill the bolt shaft out or is there other ways to get it out.
If I need a new spindle what would you recommend?

I would try to use an easy out get the broke piece out before ordering a new spindle
Make sure to punch a nice dimple in the middle of the bolt before drilling. It will keep the drill centered.
