I've just installed a Race Face BSA 30 bottom bracket and and these Seido Lyer cranks (which seem to work with a system pretty much identical to SRAM Dub). Once the crank bolt is torqued down to the specified min of 35Nm the cranks do no spin freely.

Is this normal? It's 73mm BB shell and the cranks are meant to be compatible with 68-86.5. The spindle length is 105mm. The preload collar is turned right back to the crank and will not move. I've put one spacer on the drive side side of the BB as per the instructions.

  1. I would try ditching the single spacer on the drive side if your chainring will still clear the frame. You can take the remaining slack out with either the preload ring or spindle spacers + preload ring.

If you don’t have the room to do that, the spindle could simply be too short. That spindle length sounds really short as the easton EA90 cranks use a 129mm spindle and the raceface turbine come in a 136mm spindle which are both BSA30 cranks.
