First things first I live in Atlantic Canada and I'm a seasonal worker. I have an abundance of time in the winter/ spring for training and I think I can clock some good time outdoors before it gets too cold. Winter is however inevitable and I know I'll want to train indoors as well. I put the cart before the horse and got a smart trainer (good FB deal) before I got the road bike.
Right now I have a bikepacking commuter bike and it isn't compatible and I want to upgrade regardless to a fast carbon bike. I hope to one day race.
Here are a couple options… my budget is $3k CAD. OR should I just save more and get new?
1. KHS (never heard of the brand). Tiegra components, disc brakes. Medium ( may be a bit big)Like new.$1500
2. Scott foil 10. Sm. Ultegra comps. Di2 shifting. 2 sets of carbon wheels incl. Not disc brakes. $2900
3. Garneau R1. Sm. Ultegra comps. Aero bars. $2750
4. 2021 Argon18 Gallium disc. Sm. Sram force 11 speed. New tires/ wheels. $3000
This is before negotiation… Any deals above? Thank you for any insight!

Fit is #1, so the first bike should be ruled out for that alone.
I’d say each of 2-4 are overpriced. Best of those options is probably the Scott Foil – if it was around $2200-$2400 CAD that’s probably around the right mark. Downside is rim brakes so future upgrade opportunities are limited, but it’s a very nice bike with good tyre clearance and there’s not really anything to upgrade on it.
