I’m Paolo Maugeri, I’m 67 years old and I live in Mantua. Thanks to many videos on YouTube I prepared my first journey to Santiago de Compostela and since I like making videos I combined my spiritual desire with that of a videomaker.
On June 13, 2024 I left Mantua in Italy and after 2 flights and two trains I arrived on June 14 at 10.30 am in Irun in the North of Spain.
Since about 28 km awaited me as the first stage, I preferred to leave on June 15th at dawn… and so my adventure began…😎😁.
My backpack weighed 12 kg (Drone – Batteries – Power Bank – Gimbal – Tripod – Etc.) and my special pouch… another 3 kg… so the first week of walking my body had to adapt, suffering a lot to the load on my shoulders and at the pace of the daily kilometres…then everything settled down and I began to suffer a little less…
I divided my path into 4 videos, one for each region I crossed….
Later I will publish some other videos showing everything I needed to undertake this adventure.
