So I just bought this bike, and I assumed that it was like one of those rubber dust caps in the middle. So, I tried to pry it out with a tiny flathead screwdriver, but it just chipped the paint and the cap didn't move. Any suggestions?

Is that a sticker? Do you feel a dimple in the middle over the bolt?
Maybe it just fits on to the bolt. Can you pull up on it by the edge?
You try a magnet?
Pretty sure the bolt is the center i see
You have to pry it out. It’s just cheap plastic stuck in there tight “ kinda tigerish”

Might be by a brand called Stem Caps:

Not super hard to remove. Try pushing down in the middle and prying up the sides.
It could be like the future shock caps. They just spin off.

That’s an interesting one. I’d try:
– hot glue if you have it, to stick a “handle” to pull the cap off.
– sucker cup of the right size.
– tip of a sharper knife than your flat head screwdriver (that’s the most destructive but I’ll assume that since you already chipped it you are considering a replacement.
– any other type of glue/tape to stick something to the cap only and rip it off.
