  1. They look like Planet Bike fenders to me. Mine are old & broke pieces off (normal wear) so that it’s even less of a coverage arc, but I still have them and they kinda work without major drawbacks.

  2. If you did a long ride you’re right to be weary. But I wouldn’t be too *wary* of this setup. It’s supported at 4 points.

I would recommend a bit of adjustment, the fender sits far off the tire. It’ll catch less water and get kicked more by your toe when turning. Bringing the mounts down the fork a little, and maybe adjusting the clamps at the fender to tighten it up. And of course, trim the excess rubber a bit.

  3. Did you finish installing or you are asking because you intend to leave it like this? (It will work better if you finish and bring the fender closer to the tire.  )

  4. I used these for years. They work. Nothing special, nothing great. The biggest problem is they would get bumped and I would wonder why I was more wet than normal.

Just bump them back to the center. I still have them just don’t bother with fenders any more.

They look about like some planet bike fenders that I have for a few of my bikes. I secure them with zip ties (that I use cable pliers to get as tight as I can). I’ve never used the rubber attachment straps for them. Those fenders aren’t going to win beauty contests like honjo fenders will but they work great. I’ve been using them for years and like them. A couple of years after buying a set of them I bought them for another bike.

Is it just me or is the angle of the fork to the frame super acute? Hard to tell as it’s not a full pic, but is your fork bent?

  7. Why do you think they look sketchy?

They are a bit close to the downtube, but if they clear they clear they could definitely be closer to the tire but again if it works, it works finally what I am actually concerned about is it looks like that fork is bent

Do not adjust them while moving. I did once. Hand sucked into front wheel, arm jammed the bike and over bars I went.

  9. they’re not going to fall off, if that’s what you’re asking. they’re also not very good fenders and won’t block a ton of water. full coverage fenders work a lot better, but these might be better than nothing.
