Climbing (maybe walking) the biggest hill EVER to Leeds | Cycling tour of Britain

It’s stage 14 of 38 of our biketouring adventure!

Even though today wasn’t as long of a ride we still knew it was going to be a challenge with the amount of elevation. 800+ metres uphill but we had no idea it would be that bad!

After the first 4km long hill we thought okay hopefully this is the worst of it! But NOPE second hill was the steepest we have ever climbed and the third didn’t feel much less.

After those surely thats the worst of it done but they just kept coming! We were really struggling up these and had to walk up a majority of them. I definitely contemplated asking a big truck for a ride up the hill!

The worst part was that the downhill wasn’t very enjoyable when we did get some. The weather was so windy and wet that we had to break down the whole time. We felt like we were going to get blown away and were squeezing the breaks for dear life!

The one upside was the amazing views at the top! Definitely a ride to remember from our biketour.

We’re beginners to biketouring but that won’t stop us from diving right in for a 3 month biketour! Join us on our cycling adventure!
