“I broke your phone so here’s just take my Kilo TT” is what this guy I’ve met from Craigslist should’ve said.

This story takes place TODAY, September 9th 2024 and I see a kinda beat up green Kilo TT selling for insanely cheap, $40 was the asking price on the listing so I excitingly hop on this deal like it was my last day on earth.

Few messages later and a drive I come check out this bike and boy is it a Kilo TT that needs some work (I don’t care though it’s $40.) I take it for a test ride and I put my phone on the floor of his driveway since I had basketball shorts on and my phone has fell easily from these many times. I begin to start riding around to make sure it doesn’t fall apart on me. As I finish and we’re talking about the bike his mom drives up into the drive way and crushes my phone with the car and I’m instantly upset. I talk to the seller and his mother and they decided that I just take the bike and fix the phone later. I’m still upset that my phone is shattered and I didn’t get any money to fix it but it’s an older iPhone 11 so I didn’t really care that much.

Moral of the story is don’t leave phones vulnerable when you test ride a bike.

  1. Sucks, but at least you have a free Kilo TT with a hideous but very comfortable Brooks saddle in potentially the worst color they ever made 🙂

I’m just kidding. Kinda. Enjoy the bike though, nice find 👍🏼

  2. Yea that sucks, but you left your phone on the ground in their driveway? How the fuck is that their fault?
