  1. This was a lucky pickup! Found it on FB Marketplace last night and seller agreed to deliver it locally. I’m guessing it’s a ’77 or ’78 model by the 12 speeds, but S10-S designation. It feels great and will likely replace my heavier, taller (24″), chrome rimmed Panasonic Sport Deluxe. I will probably swap out the pedals from the Panasonic (relatively new MKS Sylvan Touring). This bike is 21″ or 22″ so a much better fit for me.

  2. These bikes knocked it out of the park compared to the Peugeot U08s of the time. Lots more alloy, better components, better ride. And better colors.

  3. I love what you have there.

That is a great blank canvas. With the brake set up and spacing I am sure you could go real wide on tires.

I would have a blast with that cold set the rear. A 650b maybe but a one by conversion just to simply things. Could do that easy with a cheap wheel swap and cassette a cheap rear derailleur just shift in friction don’t worry about brifters or any of that nonsense.

Nice ride. But I always see a blank canvas unless it holds real value.

  4. Awesome, I was wondering about the year before seeing your other post too. Mine says Sports 10 and has the shifters on the fork underneath the bars. I hadn’t considered moving it, mine is a ’76 i think.
