So I added spacer on my front chainrings with a bit more mm on the Big one than the small one. I had to correct the chainline to stop a rub, I'm really trying tk avoid changing the whole BB and just swtiching to a hollotech system that would allow me to have a proper full tiagra setup.

So ive took the bike for a ride after adding the spacers and I noticed the shifting is a bit ruff sometime ( it give big jerks). When on a stand the chain does this (in the picture) about one every 4 shift . Its the same when going into the small cog.
So could adding more spacers ( 10 mm aluminium washers) on the lower ring fix this? Both chainrings are aligned with the crank.

**Its also very hard to to get chain rub on this setup. At big, small and small, small, hence why the spacers.

  1. Park tools has a great series on adjusting and troubleshooting front derailleurs on YouTube. Might be limit screws or even cage height.

It’s a great way to learn and understand your bike even more!

Don’t even fuck on with it literally pay a bike shop. It will cost about the same as a mc donalds.

Watch a few videos on you tube, read the Shimano manual. It’s easy to do. If you take it to the bike shop for this you will never learn how to do it and be reliant on someone else forever.
