Good ol limb loppers. Named for the idea that in a crash you could get a body part stuck in it and cut off. Probably wouldn’t actually remove anything, but it could cause extra injuries.

They look similar to the Nextie 6 spoke carbon XC wheels. There is a World Cup XC team that runs similar wheels.

Often “mag” – but you pictured a higher quality carbon set that will usually be named for the amount of “spokes” – see five-spoke or tri-spoke, etc.
We called them mag wheels back in the day. That name came from the car industry and race wheels may have been made out of magnesium.
