I am restoring my grandmother’s 1964 Schwinn Co-ed. I have never had to deal with Schwinn’s horrible wheel sizing until now and I’m feeling pretty frustrated. The bike came to me without tires on it, and the spoke holes were punched through the engraved size identification on both wheels (so it just looks like S-⚫️). I read that the most common size tire for Schwinn during this era was the 26” S-7, so I took a chance and got a pair of Kenda S-7 replacements. The ISO is significantly too small for the rim. If the ISO of the S-7 is too small, what could the actual size be? Is it more likely that they are S-6?
