Frame colour is great and Kink are a solid brand and $40 is an absolute steal imo.
Picture makes bike look long, so whst size top tube is this?
For 40 you did good.
Strip it, clean up the mess, rebuild it.
Maybe a new chain as that one looks to be a basic bicycle chain and could snap if it hasn’t been cleaned and maintained.
