Hello! I am wondering if anybody has used any of the following backpacks for their commutes:
- Deuter Race 12 (or other variant)
- Osprey Raptor 14
- Evoc Stage 18
Now some context: I (28F) often cycle to work ~20km and home ~20km on my racing bike, wearing a full kit. Please spare me the comments about looking like a 'try-hard' 😉 it is comfortable and efficient this way and extremely common where I live, luckily!
I need to bring my laptop, 13 inch but relatively cluncky, shoes, some clothes to wear at work and a small lunch (sandwich and some fruit). All showering stuff I have at my office. Currently I use my hiking bag Osprey daylite. It is 20L but not very comfortable on my back. My colleague who also cycles to work recommended the Evoc stage 18, and said she thinks having a bag that is even slightly larger may be better than the 18L. I am relatively small, ~164 cm tall / 5ft 4 inches
I do not want to use panniers on my race bike. Does anybody have experience with the bags listed above? Do you think the Deuter 12 L is not large enough for my described needs? If you use a bag that you absolutely adore, then please let me know! Thanks in advance 🙂
