Yesterday my wife and I received our new Canyon Aeroad CF SLX 7 Di2s and immediately after assembly wanted to take them for a spin. About 5 miles into the ride im coasting on a bike lane and a car pulls out and next thing I know im sideswiping and eating a car. The dude zipped off and my brain went into “oh shit my bike” mode and I didnt even get a good look at them. There wasnt any visible damage immediately but the handlebars were super stiff and not wanting to move. After slightly turning them it popped into place it felt like and then was 100% good to go. I then rode 8 miles back home to check it further and the bike felt completely fine the whole time, not even so much as a new rattling noise. When I got home I noticed a gash/chip on the front tube of the frame. I searched around reddit and decided to take it to an LBS for diagnosis and both of them I went to wouldnt say without an ultrasound machine. I live near Canyon US and decided to take it in there aswell, and basically just started a crash replacement claim at the store. The guys there were extremely nice and helpful but im concerned about the cost of a replacement frame, if the frame is $$ from Canyon would it be better to just take it to a carbon repair shop? Id also have to pay someone to disassemble and re assemble the bike right? One of the guys there said he would personally still ride it and I could very well be overreacting im not sure. I can take more photos if that helps
