I recently gave my cycle to a local to fix a clicking issue but he fucked up the entire cycle 1 of the many new problems he created is that when I go onto the 3rd or 2nd gear of the front cassette the red line does not show it that is is on that gear
I later asked him about it and he said you will have to replace the entir shifter
I do not want to spend more money on this bike to which i already have to spend more to fix the shit he did
Is there any way to fix this?

Can you tryto reset the cable? Undo cable at f derail, shift to 1st gear, pull on cable and tighten, see how it goes? I wouldnt stress on what the shifter says if it gets all three gears?
There are two small screws that hold the top cover of the shifter in place. If you remove them, you might see why the orange line doesn’t line up. Assuming the bike gets into all three rings, it’s probably that the flexible plastic piece that holds the indication line isn’t in the groove
