The battery removal process was performed by Electrobike in Caen, France on my 2024 Mondraker Dusty XR e-gravel bike.
The reason for doing this is that I had to travel by air with the bike, therefor the battery had to be removed to be shipped separately. These batteries are too large and illegal on commercial flights. Using an EVOC bike bag, I took the bike with me as checked luggage on my flight and shipped the battery in its original box via FedEx.
Here are the main stages of the process:
00:00 Removal of the cranks
00:52 Removal of Bottom Bracket – Threaded side
02:08 Removal of Bottom Bracket – Press-fit side
04:03 How to reinstall the Pressed side
04:22 Disconnect the Mahle X20 Torque & Cadence Sensor
04:44 Open the Frame Rubber Protector and Battery Cover
05:04 Disconnect the Battery
05:45 Remove the Heat Unit
06:42 Remove the 2 Battery screws and the Battery spacer
07:41 Slide the battery out
08:50 Showing the battery spacer location
