The people riding bikes when I was in diapers were on Schwinn, Murray, or Columbia cruisers. I was in my 40’s when frames like that first appeared. I stripped my Columbia down to the frame, painted it metal flake purple, and put ape hanger bars on it in 1968. And, of course it was a 1X.
