I might have to wait a year or two to get away with it, but I would probably kill that guy if he did that to me.
I’ll bet the cyclist owed him money just like in Pulp Fiction.
Beware of drivers that camp by intersections and lurk behind you when they have room to pass. Look for an escape route where cars can’t squeeze through. Practice hard braking, abrupt turning, and hopping up curbs quickly. Swerve unpredictability behind suspicious vehicles like this.
There were a lot of vigilantes that would come at me like this in 2020 thinking I was a looter, and being able to hop over a curb bumpout might have saved my life just last month.
Seems the driver should be charged at least with failure to maintain control. I hope the cyclist can file claim for new bicycle on driver’s insurance. I also hope the cyclist can file for medical expenses plus pain and suffering on the drivers insurance. If the driver has no insurance, I hope the cyclist sues driver for massive judgement.
