I’m riding fixed gear/track bikes for more than a decade now and I’m totally still in love for that and every time I visit USA I’ve plan to buy a new frame set or assemble a bike. But recently I was thinking in doing something different, grab a more aggressive gravel bike that I still can ride fast.
So I have a budget of $2000 on spending on a bike and found couple used deals on the Specialized Diverge.
Seems like a pretty good bike, but making some research I think that’s too gravel for me, so I found the Specialiazed Crux, which I’ve already fall in love with the frame geometry.
The problem: money! Usually the Crux are more expensive(at least the used ones) than Diverge.
And then, I found a bike that claims my eyes! Good components and I offer a deal of $3000 on the entire bike and the owner accepts
The bike is barely used, the handlebars and the stem are Zipp carbon, the saddle is the Specialiazed with mirror.
Has power meter on the sram etap
It worth the deal?
But the question is:
What I need to know to ride gravels?
I will be in San Francisco with this bike, any good routes?
How should I ride in the streets? lol! Remembering I’m a fixed gear rider who loves to ride like crazy unfortunately

Ah, the classic hipster pipeline
Remember you can shift. When my buddy got a geared bike he’d sometimes just mash up a hill going super hard and burn himself out, because he forgot he could downshift and keep spinning
$3000 for that? You sure it wasn’t stolen?
Just piecing together some costs, but those wheels retail for like $2k, the crank with powermeter chainring is like $600, force axs on a crux is like $5k, and then zipp bars is like $200+. That saddle is like $400.
Second hand that bike should be going for at least 5000
