  1. So it finally happened today. After roughly 10,000km without a single puncture, my Schwalbe Marathon Plus bit a nail. What is interesting is that the nail sealed the hole so I managed to ride it like this for another 4-5km before tire became too limp to support me. At that point I was less than 10 minutes of walking from home. It was lodged so hard in tire I had to use pliers to take it out. I guess a nail big enough can puncture any tire but honestly I can’t blame them for giving up to this. It is extremely rare for me to hit a nail like this one and I am sure these tires prevented many other flats from glass shards and thorns which drove me crazy with other non-protected tires.

    Lowkey forgot that measuring tapes could come in metric and was confused about why those inches look short… it’s been a rough morning.

    Yeah it takes some serious pointy thing to flat a marathon. I just don’t understand how it does that.
