Hello everyone,
I need advice on what bike can I get for my situation as the research that I've done was usuccefull:
I ride around 100 km/week, mostly on roads, with some gravel (80-20) and some average climbs.
My priority is comfort and quality as I have some hip and back problems and need to keep my hips fairly open and minimize vibrations.
I have multiple stairs so the bike needs to be as light as possible
Here's my criteria:
– Lightweight (sub 10kg)
– Low enough gearing for climbs (at least 1:1)
– Wide tyres (40 to 60 mm) but not too compromising for rolling resistance
– Comfortable position with high stack/ adjustable stem, and swept back handlebars for neutral hand position.
I'm male, 41, fit (65 kg), 5"8.5 (174 cm) with 31.5" (80cm) inseam.
The closest thing I could find was something like the Cube Nulane One but with higher and narrower, adjustable, swept back handlebars, or something like the Marin Larkspur but it's way too heavy.
I live in Switzerland and have some friends in France so I need something that's available or can easily be shipped to these countries.
– Budget: would like to stay under 1000$/€ but can stretch it a bit if I find a good deal.
Many thanks for any suggestions or pointers for things I may be missing.
