I don’t know a ton of people who want to cruise around on a 30yo bike, but they are becoming more and more desirable, and I can understand why. They are basic bikes, easy to work on, durable, can run as daily drivers or gravel/dirt by simply changing the tires. To me this is a bad sign the industry is turning a blind eye to a chunk of its potential consumers. There are gravel bikes, but I believe their popularity is starting to fade in favor of a proven decades old platform. What are your thoughts on phenomenon?

I fully agree. Would love to see more of these options. Especially in the lower price ranges.

I love when my old stuff crosses over into “vintage.” My newest bike is about 17 years old. Still using my 20-year-old mtb, but it’s getting hard to find 26″ tires anymore 😒

Isn’t it old guys buying the bikes they couldn’t afford in their youth? I would love to have a Rocky Mountain Hammer Race for the nostalgia of it.
