Haven't cycled for a few years since my fixed gear days, went on a small holiday with the family and rented some bikes and cycled the local trail. When I got home all I could think about was how good it felt riding through the forests to the beach and made the decision to build something retro and cheap!

I checked out FB marketplace and stumbled across a trashed old Raleigh massif, it had a large frame and when I saw the paint scheme I had to have it!
So I collected it and was planning the build and in the same week was offered 3 bikes for free that my dad found in a skip. There was a GT tequesta in the pile that had money chucked at it at some point in its life
(Plenty of Shimano deore parts) Which made the perfect donor for the Raleigh.

So here's the finished build, I hope you like it as much as I do, seriously stoked on this bike build.

Raleigh massif 23" frame, custom decals on original paint
Shimano deore hubs/cranks/v-brakes/front mech SRAM X4 rear mech and shifters (swapping shifters to friction)

Selle royal asphalt gf saddle

DMR V8 pedals and DMR deathgrip's

Schwalbe billy bonkers tyres

Amazon anodised bars/stem/suspension seatpost/front rack
