Sentimental value is where this bike sits. I’m sure your grandfather had a blast in that recumbent and if you spend a couple hundred dollars I’m sure you can get it up and going to have some fun too. Sorry to hear about your grandfather

Fix it and ride it!
I would love to ride this to the beach. When I try to keep up with guys on bikes like this they drop me pretty fast.
Our first trip bike packing the C/O Towpath, we stayed at an BnB and the gentleman that ran the place had one of these bikes. Really cool stuff! Fix it up and enjoy it!

Why would you sell it
To the right person, maybe $2000 or so. To most people, not much at all. Tour Easy has a pretty big cult following for recumbent riders, especially for touring (duh). Heavy, but very stable, comfortable, and easy to handle. And pretty dang quick on smooth pavement/level ground. And he’s got some very nice add-ons going there.
But absolutely clean it, lube the chain and derailleurs, air up the tires (might need new tubes), and go for a ride first. It’d be best to start in an empty parking lot wearing long sleeves and pants if you’ve never ridden a recumbent before. The balance is different, you need to counter-steer to initiate a turn like on a motorcycle. Your gramps had a nice bike, it’d be a shame not to give it a try before you go selling it.
Recumbents are pretty fast bikes as they dont offer much area for air to catch on. The windshield might make this one even more aerodynamic. Cause the frame is so long it can flex quite a bit offering a smooth ride. If you fix this one up with new tires and tubes and dust off the old groupset you will have a very fast and comfortable bike. Only hills suck in recumbents

New ones of these go for $3k (without the fairing) [https://easyracers.com/toureasyclassic.html](https://easyracers.com/toureasyclassic.html) so you might be able to get a fraction of that on the used market. That said, there is definitely not so much demand for recumbent bicycles these days. The demographic that used buy these tend to buy recumbent trikes instead.
I’m guessing $300 for quick sale, maybe 6-800 if you find the right buyer.
