I have the following bike that I use to commute on: Carrera Subway 1 Mens Hybrid Bike – Dark Grey – S, M, L, XL Frames | Halfords UK
It serves it's purpose well, and I really enjoy the 11 miles each way commute on it. My current mudguards are some poor quality Halfords Essentials that don't really cover or fit very well. With the weather now starting to turn, I'd like to continue the 2/3 commutes that I do per week without the worry of getting absolutely filthy and drenched.
Will these SKS Commuter mudguards fit ok? Tyres are the standard Kenda Komfort 650 x 48B/27.5" x 1.95"

No they’re too narrow and for the wrong size wheel.
You’ll want to be around a 50mm wide fender
