Hi! New cyclist here (~200 miles in of tracked and planned riding). I’m struggling with making my own routes and/or researching rides on ride with GPS or Strava to determine if shared routes (Paved and unpaved!) are friendly for a newer rider.
I’m not a strong climber (which I hope to continue to improve!), but some of the elevation notes on shared routes on these apps have been a big concern for me.
I’m also trying to grow my confidence with biking around cars (DMV suburbs can be a scary place!)
Any tips on what I should be looking for or how I could plan my own routes?
Caption for picture: took my bike out on a ride in a new area (Little Bennett Regional Park) and it turned out to be an awesome spot, but better suited for mountain bikes. Ended up having to hike my bike for quite a few segments.

Lazy way… Get as many local cyclist friends as you can on Strava. Whenever they do a ride route that you like. Save it and then you can do it.
More complex way, use sites like Strava heatmap, Komoot, and ridewithGPS to plan your routes.

What bike is that? Great color
