I’ve had this one for about 7 years, had to shelf it a while back after the original Matrix rear wheel was stolen. I purchased it via eBay from Arizona, shipped to NYC, and had been using it, mostly stock, as a w33d delivery whip.
Switched over to my 1400 I converted into a 1x w riser bars and a thumbie friction shifter until I bought a brand new CaadX and threw on a set of ksyrium allroads. The cannondale had been my only working ride for the last 5 years while the old Treks lay dormant, completely disassembled, parts bagged, and tucked away in my closet.
Got the gumption last summer to start shopping for new parts to bring the 750 back but “better.”
GRX 1x crankset (new)
Microshift XCD rd and XCD shifter + 11s 46t cassette(new)
WTB dual duty i19 tubeless rim brake wheelset (new)
Ritchey comp trail 10D bars (new)
Tubus fly evo rear (purchased years ago)
Racktime (a tubus brand) “Top It” front (also purchased years ago)
Deore v-brakes (new) and bl-r550 levers
Dura Ace cables and chain (new) (I made the cable ends work w the levers, it’s FINE)
Crank Bros. Stamp 1 large (new)
Gravelking SK+ 700×43 + Orange Seal
MucOff valves
MucOff bar-end tubeless repair inserts (one side has a sick blade)
PitLock axle+seat post set (broke post binding bolt)
Thomson 26.8 post
Brooks B17 I’ve had for years that’s blown out and needs new rivets
ESI Chunky grips
The build is relatively lightweight, comfy, and zippy. The tires like the streets and whatever unpaved surface I can find in the city, usually prospect park, typically the horse path, they handle the bumpy lawns pretty well.
I need to trim the bars a bit, might upgrade the stem at some point, helicopter tape will be applied in a few high lockup contact spots.
But yeah, enjoy my contribution to the spirit.
