I would invest in a new bottom bracket and 3 piece crank set if you are going to keep the bike around.
A whole new bike
One piece crank if your looking to replace it with what it had
Putting money into this would be highly stupid. Even if you have to go a month or more without riding while you save up for something better.
Honestly, it’d be better to look for a used modern bmx with 3 piece cranks and mid bottom bracket on facebook marketplace or something.
It’s better to start fresh than to try to retrofit proper cranks onto this bike.

Assuming the raceways are still here, you just need bearings
New bearings
$12 bottom bracket kit with bearings & cups. Relativly easy fix.
Whole new Bottom bracket for 1 piece those are sort of a pain I always thought to mess with
