Jokes aside…was there some event going on for bicyclists on these roads? I presume the roads were closed to motor traffic?

I once did Bike the Drive and was so excited to have LSD closed that we immediately hopped on the road leaving Hyde Park when after a minute or so a couple of cars came at us full speed. Apparently it wasn’t closed yet. LOL
