Webinar | Directors’ Responsibilities in Financially Troubled Times

The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy hosted a webinar titled ‘Directors’ Responsibilities in Financially Troubled Times’. In this session, the panellists, Prof. Felix Steffek, Professor of Law, University of Cambridge, and Mr. Suharsh Sinha, Partner, AZB & Partners, delved into the legal duties and liabilities of directors during two stages: borderline insolvency and insolvency. With a view to providing a comprehensive understanding of the concept, the speakers also focused on analysing the parallels and differences between the existing frameworks in India and the United Kingdom. Additionally, the speakers suggested some policy reforms to strengthen the director accountability system.
