Picked up a 2017 Fiend Embryo type B. New to BMX. Is it okay if I remove a link to shorten the chain. It slaps around sometimes, also if I peddle hard sometimes it skips. Other than that pretty nice. I definitely need a new back tire tho.
Gonna give it a lil wash up. What are some other things I should do maintenance wise?

Well that chain sure is loose, if you can, remove that one link that looks damaged and seems to be sticking.
Edit: ah, it’s already fixed in the 1st pic it looks like.
