  1. The Tarmac is last gen so slightly out of date but still a very capable road bike. The Aeroad is obviously a pure aero road bike where the Tarmac has kind of melded the lightweight and aero types. I personally would go for the Aeroad but that’s just me. If you live near a Specialized bike shop they can offer a lot of help if you haven’t got the mechanical mindset. I’ve noticed bike shops will shun canyon bikes so always pros and cons.

    The Aeroad also comes with carbon wheels vs alloy in the specialized so it’s going to be easily 2x more comfortable not to mention faster

  2. You get carbon rims (not even shitty ones) with the canyon. Slap a 36t ratchet in there an they are incredible. I own the very same aeroad and I realy love it. The sl7 is nice aswell and more of an jack or all trades road bike whereas the aeroad heavily focuses to rise on flat terrain.
