The metro station opened on October 14, 1937, with the extension of Line 9 from Porte de Montreuil, and it has been the eastern terminus (from Pont de Sèvres) since then. Its name comes from its proximity to the Montreuil City Hall, which was built in the 1930s.
In 2021, ridership gradually increased, with 6,158,487 passengers entering this station, ranking it 19th among metro stations in terms of ridership. #Paris #tiktok
