  1. I designed and 3D printed these ultralight easy wheels. The ones here are 57mm in diameter and 8.5mm wide and 20grams each. Wheel body is printed in ASA and tyres in TPU so they behave like normal tyres. The bearing is a standard 686RS bearing. Everything is made to be easily serviceable!

I was tired of the crappy tyres on the ones from Brompton and other third parties. I was originally just going to print a set of tyres for the cheap third party wheels I bought but realized I could just design my own wheels from scratch. I am pretty sure these are the lightest wheels I’ve seen other than those carbon disc ones without any tyre which I would imagine would suck to roll around.

For comparison the Brompton Advanced Roller wheels on the T/P Line weigh 80g/pair while mine weigh 44g/pair. The Advanced roller wheels don’t have replaceable tyres so when they crack you need to buy a new set of wheels for £33.00. So I think these are the lightest no compromise wheels there are.

I’ve used them for several months now on my own and my wife’s bike so they can certainly take the abuse of a daily commuter and grocery getter haha

  2. Nice job, looks great. It seems like you have different screws than the stock ones – is there a particular part # or length that you bought? I need to go to the hardware store to replace one of mine that fell off (I managed to find the wheel)
