Yep nothing worse than being tugged off at Ness point. Fished there many times as a youth, all the way from North Dean camp site to where you are and the other side on the beach. Caught a lobster on rod and line from just up from that spot. now 61
NESW.. it's going to depend how you define the UK and whether or not you include inhabited/uninhabited islands. But the IOW won't be any of these points!
You're right Dave! Fishing is not just about catching fish. I spent Saturday night with my Dad and brother at Shingle street and didn't catch much, but its was how I enjoy spending time. Stress free by the water catching up with family and enjoying the moment. You seem to have a good following of like minded anglers, have you ever thought about arranging a beach fishing social meet up/ match? Maybe to support a local charity. Reading comments and watching your videos I suspect lots of people who would be keen on supporting it
First tenner in the โbuy a new car fundโ! Either that or 5 pints of Fosters at โThe Feathersโ by the market. You need the 5 pints after seeing those 2 old blokes shlongs. Even Iโve had nightmares!
Nice Video mate. Like the chit chat. If you really want to be geographically correct, the most southern point in the uk is the Lizard in Cornwall. However Isle of Wight fishing is very good ( check out Frugal outdoors).

Another great video Dave, You are right about fishing, if I catch any fish, I love it. What sort of squid do you use, unwashed or washed squid?

Might have been worth using some light river gear and attempting to catch some of the small species like Wrasse near those rocksโฆ.
