I ran 25f 28r for a while with no problems

Mine is 28 f (bontrager aw1) / 25 r (pasela) and the ride is a good bit better than when both were 23.
Probably the only downside is not being able to swap front to rear when the rear wears out.

Chuck on 2x 32 unless you’re doing it for the fit. It used to be the trend to have a bigger tire on the back although that was usually like a 28 on the back and 25 or 23 front
