I recently purchased a Canyon Grizl 7 RAW, and after a week or two of getting everything sorted, I’ve finally completed my first bikepacking ride. Between rain, feeling unwell, and an impending sunset to escape the heat, the universe was telling me not to go, but I am so glad I did. I rode to a lake and small waterfall, then after setting up camp I realized I had forgotten my lighter for use my stove. A cold dinner it was. I rode between 30-35km, which is not very far in comparison to most of you, but it felt good to be in nature again after a rough few months. I have a few questions if anyone has some answers!
1. I have carpel tunnel pretty badly in my right hand, has anyone come up with a solution for wrist/hand fatigue? I found myself having to adjust my hand white often to avoid pain.
2. What are your favorite back/bikepacking meals? Lighter and calorie dense are better.
3. Is there anything that you might have a suggestion on that could make my rides/trips easier?
My load out was:
•Big Agnes Copper Spur UL2 Bikepacking tent (front right rack)
•Sea to Summit Ultralight Sleeping pad (handlebar bag)
•Helinox Zero (handlebar bag)
•Nemo Fillo pillow (handlebar bag)
•A blanket/woobie as it was warm and my sleeping bag has not yet arrived (front left rack)
•BRS 3000t, fuel canister, food, Toaks Titanium mug and pot, shorts, tshirt, underwear, and a rain jacket (saddle bag)
•CO2 pump, hand pump, Bachgold water filter bottle, Canyon Eject bottles, SiS Beta fuel gels, and a few other items (frame)
I am looking forward to riding more and more!

your saddle alignment is very alarming tbh. You put all the pressure towards your wrists. It’s not even “slightly misaligned” anymore.
