I replaced the chain, rear cogs and tires at 3k miles. Bought the Vincita frame bag for extra storage. I use the large metro messenger bag for my commutes.
I had issues with the new rear cogs. The chain was slipping under light load on the smaller cog. After scratching my head for a while, I ended up reusing the old dust cap as it was thicker, and that resolved it. The smaller cog now rested where it needed to go and wasn’t free spinning anymore.
The stock racers performed well and I only had one flat on it. I went with the conti urbans as it is well recommended here, lighter and cheaper.
I went with a 6/7/8 kmc chain and used the old chain as guide. The issue I encountered was that the chain wouldn’t go to the minus (-) gear. I removed two links, held my breath and that fixed it. Excited to commute with it tomorrow, and hopefully no issues.

That front sprocket, 38 or so teeth? Looks smaller than 44 and im too tired to count right now lol

I like the idea of the frame bag. I don’t use my bike for commuting just long-ish rides, so would like something smaller to store things like my phone, battery charger, extra jacket and spare inner tube, perhaps an extra water bottle as well.
