The picture with the intersection shows the right turn the car made. The picture with the cycle lane shows where I was coming from. This is at the corner of Adriana and Oak Ridge in Orlando. I was heading east on Oak Ridge. The driver left the scene but was chased down by a witness and returned. The young lady that right hooked me was visibly shaken. She said she thought she was going faster than me and had room to beat me!! I came away with a scraped up knee and elbow. I also somehow managed to roll my ankle. We exchanged information and went our separate ways. Calling the police would’ve meant 2 hours waiting for FHP to show up. My bike needs the brake lever fixed and I had to replace the saddle. I had an extra at home so no problem there. I usually look over my shoulder to avoid the right hook but this time I didn’t. I’m just so disillusioned. Riding my bike to and from work is the best part of my day. I’m not sure what Im going to do.
