Upgraded my Microshift Advent X to a wireless SRAM Apex setup. The brifter comfort alone is worth it to me, I’ll never understand the terrible hoods on Advent X. Otherwise a very reliable setup for such a cheap drivetrain!
SRAM Apex eTap brifters
SRAM GX Eagle AXS Wireless derailleur
NX Eagle 12 speed cassette (11-50t)
Apex 1 40t crankset (replacing this with 165 crank arms to try and address some knee discomfort, currently 175)
Also have some Hutchinson Caracal Race tires on the way, but they’re stuck in customs! Big puncture in the rear of these GK SS that I can’t get to stay sealed.
Might have been a dumb upgrade for an originally low spec frame, but I love the thing and don’t want a new frame. Shoutout to Singletrack Service Center in Snoqualmie WA for hooking it up!
