This headtube was bent when the frame fell from where it was hanging.
I got it 97% back into shape but this crack opened up once I started pressing the cup back in.
The crack doesn’t go through the lug, does this mean the tube is OK? Or is this frame a write-off? I really like it, it’s 531 Reynolds and in my size so I’d like to fix it. But then I did get it for $40 and only have time invested so far.

Through normal riding, this crack will not suddenly do anything, so take a photo and keep it monitored. If you are on the bike when it experiences a force large enough to open that crack suddenly…..well let’s say you’d have more immediate issues.
