I’m on a vacation trip and took my mountain bike with me. There aren’t any trails nearby so I have to ride gravel roads. It’s actually pretty fun especially at night and I’m considering buying a proper gravel bike next year.

Whereas I’ve just put some gravel tyres on my cross bike but there are no gravel roads nearby so I have to ride trails. It’s actually pretty fun, but I ain’t doing it at night!

It’s sure better than pavement on a MTB!

That’s basically what I was riding with my hardtail for a decade before I bought a gravel bike and retired my hardtail as a Zwift bike. No trails nearby that warrant that much suspension (I have 40mm on the Gravel + sus dropper) and I’d be too scared to ride them anyway

It’s a slippery slope my friend.
I bought a gravel bike back in March so I would have something more appropriate for road & paved path riding when my local mtb trails are closed… so far this year I’ve logged about 3-4x as many gravel rides as I have MTB.
